North Herefordshire Office AI use policy
Ellie’s constituency team includes caseworkers and a parliamentary assistant who support Ellie in responding to and supporting constituents. Many thousands of constituents have reached out to Ellie to raise issues that affect them personally, or policy issues that they want to explore with her. Some constituents use AI to draft their correspondence, to add emphasis or clarity, or to create a set of detailed asks of the MP.
Ellie and her team do not use AI tools for drafting responses to correspondence.
Ellie and her team do use AI tools to assist with administrative actions on correspondence, including:
- Case creation on the secure casework handling platform (CWMP) that the North Herefordshire Office uses, including to include
- tagging
- case descriptions
- categorisation
- assignment to case handler
- Statistical analysis of case themes and numbers
Ellie and her team recognise that AI tools can support efficient data processing and are actively participating in exploring the potential of these tools within CWMP and Microsoft Office.
Ellie is committed to maintaining the personal connection between an MP and constituents.
