Ellie recently visited West Mercia Police’s Bromyard Safer Neighbourhood Team, to get a first-hand look at the work involved in keeping local communities safe. During her visit, she got the chance to explore the police vehicles and equipment, join officers out on patrol and even head out on a ride-along with the speed enforcement team to see how they help keep the roads across the area safe.
As well as getting out and about with the officers, Ellie spent time chatting with the team, hearing about their experiences and finding out more about the challenges they face in their day-to-day work. From seeing the equipment officers use to getting a taste of life on patrol, the visit offered Ellie a fascinating insight into the variety of work that goes into modern policing.
It was a great opportunity to see local policing in action, learn more about the dedication of those working to protect the community and understand how she can continue to champion their work.
The visit was another valuable day as part of Ellie’s Frontline Fridays, which see her spend a day alongside local frontline services.
Their commitment to keeping our communities safe is hugely appreciated.
