The team at Leominster Food Bank are just amazing! Kathy, David and other volunteers told me about their inspiring work when I visited recently. The foodbank has dozens of volunteers, and supports hundreds of people. It’s open every Tuesday and Friday, and offers free ‘food share’ open to everyone, as well as food parcels for anyone with a referral. Sadly, demand for their help is growing. Food banks do an incredible job of ensuring that people who need food get it, and that surplus food doesn’t go to waste. At the same time, it’s shocking that we live in a society in which so many people now rely on food banks. Well done to the team for all their brilliant, valuable and compassionate work!
