About Ellie

I was elected as your Green Party MP for North Herefordshire in July 2024. I’m here to listen to you and represent you as a strong champion for North Herefordshire in Westminster.

My top priorities are strengthening our local economy, improving public services, and protecting nature.

In a typical week in the role so far I spend 4 days in Westminster and 2 days working in the constituency. In the House of Commons I might be speaking in a debate about a bill, taking part in a briefing, meeting with the other Green Party MPs or reviewing policy.  Back home in Herefordshire, I visit schools, businesses, aid groups, charities, events and hold meetings with organisations. I support my team of caseworkers and we review what constituents are raising as important issues for them.  I run a surgery at least twice per month, meeting constituents face to face.

I’ve lived in Herefordshire for 20 years, previously serving as a local councillor and an MEP: it’s an honour to have been elected MP for North Herefordshire.

Visit to Cadbury Marlbrook Factory

Ever wondered how chocolate is made? A huge proportion of the base ‘crumb’ of Cadbury’s chocolate is made in Marlbrook Factory in my constituency. I had a fascinating tour of the factory to learn about the process. Thanks so much to all involved!...

Visit to Leominster Wastewater Treatment Works

Visit to Leominster Wastewater Treatment Works

With sewage treatment and river water quality such a key issue, I was very interested to visit Leominster Wastewater Treatment Works. Good to see some of the investment that WW have been putting in, and to see how they test the water after it’s been through the plant.
