Ellie has raised concerns about delays at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) after intervening in 18 separate cases on behalf of constituents.
“It shouldn’t take an MP intervening in a complaint for the DVLA to finally respond to an individual — but for 18 of my constituents, this has been the only way to get a response,” Ellie said.
Constituents had experienced significant delays in receiving replies to queries and complaints, leaving them without clarity on important licensing and vehicle matters.
Ellie has called for improvements to ensure the system works properly and delivers timely responses to members of the public, without the need for parliamentary intervention.
She remains committed to supporting residents who are struggling to receive the service they deserve.
