Herefordshire Mind provides an amazing range of mental health support services to local people; including counselling, peer support groups, and the Safe Haven service every evening. I was privileged to visit their base at Heffernan House in Hereford, where David Harding, support & development manager, told me all about their work. Mental health support is such a crucial – and still under-resourced – aspect of our health services. The more we can invest in early prevention, the better.
