The Hillside Centre provides care and rehabilitation – ‘re-ablement’ – to Herefordshire residents who need a bit of extra help in between hospital and home. I was very impressed by the facility and the wonderful caring atmosphere at the centre – the thank you cards on the wall say it all! Many thanks to Audrey, Stephen and Kathy the centre manager for showing me round. I also got a preview of their new ‘equipment testing facility’ thanks to Michelle. This facility will give people the chance to test out all sorts of equipment and adaptations that can help make life easier for those with extra care needs. Congratulations to Herefordshire Council and their partners Hoople Group on this brilliant facility!
